Neighboring districts are Märkischer Kreis, Hochsauerland, Siegen-Wittgenstein, Altenkirchen, Oberbergischer Kreis. == History == The district was created in 1817 as ''Bilsteiner Kreis'', in 1819 the capital was set to be Olpe.
